Referrals and Funding
Great news! - You don't require a referral to access specialised respiratory physiotherapy at EveryBreath Physiotherapy.
Read below to see options for professional referrals, medicare subsidy via chronic disease management plan, NDIS funding, home care package funding, private health insurance claims and service fees.
Refer your patient
While patients are very welcome to self-refer to EveryBreath Physiotherapy, referrals from health professionals are also appreciated. Feel free to email relevant information to hello@everybreathphysio.com.au or send via HealthLink EDI everybph. Optional referral form is downloadable below.
Chronic Disease Management Plan
Patients with a condition lasting more than six months can access a Medicare subsidy of $61.80 through this plan. You must obtain the necessary referral directly from your GP and bring it to your session. This financial support helps reduce your out-of-pocket costs for 5 sessions per calendar year. Keep in mind this is for all allied health, so check you haven't used this for other professionals eg podiatry.
NDIS Funding
If you have funding from the National Disability Insurance Scheme funding for physiotherapy treatments, you may be able to use this to fund your sessions. If your plan is self-managed, you can easily submit manual claims for your sessions. Please contact your care coordinator to verify your budget allocations and if they will fund an external physiotherapist, before commencing therapy.
Private Health Insurance
Patients with private health cover can receive support to access physiotherapy services. The exact amount refunded depends entirely on your specific insurance provider and policy extras. We recommend checking your current level of coverage with your insurer prior to your appointment.
Private Funding
You can choose to completely self-fund your physiotherapy care out of pocket. This straightforward option requires no GP referrals, insurance policies, or third-party approvals to begin treatment. It grants you immediate access to our full range of respiratory and physical therapy services.
